Remote Fund Operations Manager for Financial Services Company

Fund operations currently sit with a single Head of Operations plus an onshore outsourced provider, and the firm is bringing that work in-house. The systems already work — what the team needs is capacity and sharper process as complexity grows. 🧑🏻‍💻About the Role Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role splits roughly 50% NAV and fund accounting, 25% management company financials, and 25% investor operations and ad hoc projects. The first 30 days are spent shadowing a full month-end close cycle, with delegated ownership of core workflows by day 60 and transition of outsourced reconciliation work by day 90. Success means owning specific fund operations workflows end-to-end with minimal oversight and answering Limited Partner questions independently. 📲Requirements📩 ✅4+ years of back-office or fund operations experience at an asset management firm, hedge fund, SEC-registered RIA, or fund administrator ✅Hands-on ownership of monthly NAV production, including position, cash, and transaction reconciliation for at least one fund ✅Fund accounting experience covering fund books and records, investor statements, and independent month-end close ✅Working knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement processes in an asset management context, including break identification and resolution ✅Experience with management company financials — AP, AR, and bookkeeping — distinct from fund-level accounting ✅Investor operations experience: subscription and redemption processing, investor onboarding, or written responses to Limited Partner inquiries ✅C1+ English (CEFR) for investor-facing email and occasional calls with Limited Partners Nice-to-Have📊 🫵🏻Fund operations experience at an asset manager under 50 employees, or sole ownership of a fund vertical within a larger firm 🫵🏻Exposure to multi-manager hedge fund platforms, custom funds, or managed accounts 🫵🏻Hands-on use of fund admin platforms such as Juniper Square, Allvue, Carta, SS&C, or Advent Geneva 🫵🏻Experience supporting fund formations or new fund launches 🫵🏻Track record of working US Eastern business hours from Latin America
