What the Job Entails (Top 5 Responsibilities) ● Own full-cycle accounting and monthly close for a portfolio of eCommerce clients, ensuring a clean 5-day close on submitted work ● Review Accountant work for accuracy, completeness, and documentation quality ● Prepare and review reconciliations (bank, credit card, AR/AP, inventory, COGS, prepaids, accruals, returns) ● Communicate directly with clients to share updates, clarify questions, request information, and flag issues early ● Strengthen internal processes and controls; help streamline workflows to improve accuracy and speed What Makes This Role Unique ● Similar scope of work as a Controller, but with slightly smaller or less complex portfolios, allowing focused ownership ● High degree of client-facing interaction, owning operational communication with founders and client teams ● Exposure to high-growth Shopify, Amazon, and DTC brands across various industries ● Tech-powered workflows with strong Operations support and standardized internal processes The Type of Person Who Succeeds Here (Top 5 Traits) ● Detail-oriented reviewer who spots issues early and provides clear, structured guidance ● Calm, organized operator who thrives in a multi-client environment with tight monthly cycles ● Process-driven problem solver who naturally looks for inefficiencies and fixes them ● Supportive team lead who helps Accountants grow through constructive feedback ● Professional, proactive communicator who can manage client updates confidently and respectfully
